Andhra University is conceived as a residential and teaching cum affiliating university. It is one of the oldest educational institutes in the country. Andhra University was established by the madras act of 1926 and located in Visakhapatnam, north east coastal of Andhra Pradesh. The university is pioneered in many courses in arts, science, management and engineering in India. The university is supported by eight hundred sixty teachers and more than two thousand five hundred non-teaching staff. The university is affiliated by university grant commission. It is the first general university in India which get certified by ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2006.
Eligibility for BEd admission:
Candidate should have complete graduation in B.com, B.Sc. in Home science, BCA, B.A., B.Sc. in Andhra Pradesh or from any recognized university. Candidates who are appeared for last year degree examination is also eligible. Candidate must complete graduation at the age of 19 years.
Admission procedure:
The application form is available on head post office and university of post offices in Andhra Pradesh state. The application form can also be submitted online. The application forms are also available e seva centers of Andhra Pradesh state. Selection of candidate is done on the basis of common entrance test which is conducted by Andhra Pradesh University.The selection of candidate is done on the basis of score obtained in entrance examination and merit in the qualifying examination.
General Information:
The university offers Bed course as full time or part time. Full time course duration is one year while part time course duration is two years. For getting admission to Bed, candidate should have minimum 45 % aggregate marks in their graduation and for ST, SC candidate pass are enough to qualify for Examination.
