Tamil Nadu Open University Distance Learning B.Ed Admission
The Act No.27 (2002) of Legislative Assembly by Government of Tamil Nadu recognized the Tamil Nadu Open University for benefiting those who had been underprivileged or denied the admission for higher education particularly destitute, working men/women, physically challenged, inexpensively weaker sections for society, and those who had discontinued education to different reasons. It mainly aims for reaching the hitherto undetached. University provides many programs in different disciplines.
Given with population, geographical extent, and actual requirement of the Tamil Nadu, set up of the Tamil Nadu Open University via the Government of Tamil Nadu is a correct step. Government of Tamil Nadu has taken this brave and familiar step. This step may establish a boon to physically challenged people, women, and poor & marginalized segments of society. They are dedicated to support it rationally and financially. The University has started steps to recruit and announcement of programs both for which might not have been achievable without substantial groundwork and is commendable.
Eligibility
• In-service teachers, having Bachelor’s degree in English/Tamil/Mathematics Chemistry/ Botany/Physics/ Geography/Zoology/History/Computer Science or Post- Graduate degree with Commerce/Economics/Home Science.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in Schools at Tamil Nadu (in Nursery/ Primary/ Secondary/ Matriculation/ Higher Secondary Schools) recognized by Government of Tamil Nadu or Government of India are qualified to apply. Admission will be given on score got by candidate in Entrance exam, organized by Tamil Nadu Open University across Tamil Nadu.
• Reservation of seats of candidates of SC/ST/OBC communities as well as handicapped (both visual as well as physical) will be made according to Government of Tamil Nadu rules and regulations.
