University of Kashmir Distance Education BEd Admission
The University of Kashmir origins straight away after the Independence when in the year 1948, State Government had established the institute to conduct for the examinations with the headquarters at Srinagar. It was followed by the decent effort through authorities to restore old tradition for learning and teaching, the necessary feature for ancient Kashmir, via establishment for three postgraduate sections in 1956 – in Srinagar, and two at Jammu. With financial assistance given by UGC (University Grants Commission) and State Government, the series of structure works started at Campus in the year 1959.
In the year 1965, University was rationalized and divided in two divisions with equal status; one for Jammu province and other for Kashmir province with the central organization having precise executive and legislative powers relating with budget, planning, finance, coordination, development of teaching standards with examinations and courses of studies. Every division had its personal executive body for running day-to-day management and its personal academic bodies for formulating the programs and policies.
Eligibility
The B.Ed course is of 1-year duration and only 180 seats are available. The applicant needs to have a graduate degree in any discipline.
Admission Procedure
The Prospectus is available by paying Rs. 250/- cash payment at University. Every copy of Prospectus has given separate Serial number, which is compulsory for University of Kashmir, at Srinagar. Candidates, in the personal interest, are advised for obtaining printed receipt of money paid for cost of the Prospectus. They are recommended not to permit others to utilize Serial Nos. selected to the Prospectus as well as Cash Receipt, as they may require both the serial nos. to generate the on-line application form.
