IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam

The B.Ed Program given by the IGNOU is a novel program utilizing the self-instructional materials as well as ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and private contact sessions. The program is cautious mix of theoretical as well as practical courses for developing and practicing the teacher’s suitable knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes. Admission is based on the Entrance test organized every year. 

Duration: 

The duration of this course is 2 years.

Medium of Instruction: 

The medium of Instruction are English and Hindi

Eligibility: 

1. Any bachelor’s degree or the higher degree from any recognized university

2. In-service teachers having 2 years of full-time experience of teaching on temporary or permanent basis in the primary, secondary or higher secondary school accepted by the Central/State Government or the Union Territory. Age is no bar. 

Student Handbook & Prospectus for the B.Ed Program is obtained from,

and also from all IGNOU Regional Centers by sending the amount of Rs.550/- via Demand Draft or IPO favoring IGNOU, to be paid at New Delhi or city of apprehensive Regional Centre or through paying Rs.500/- cash at particular sale counters. The applicant needs to write his/her name & address on backside of DD or IPO. 

Prospectus and application form may also be downloaded through the website www.ignou.ac.in. It should be sent with the DD or IPO of Rs.550/-, favoring IGNOU, to be paid at city of the Regional centers through Registered or Speed Post to the Concerned Regional Centre. Prospectus will be mailed to such candidates after receiving Rs.550/- as said above. There is not any age bar for the admission of the Program.
