Eligibility for BEd course:

• Candidate need to have bachelor’s degree from recognized university with at least 55% marks.

• Candidate need to have working experience of at least 2yrs in teaching profession

Application procedure for BEd course:

Candidate can obtain the prospectus and application from the university counter or by post by paying Rs 550/- through DD drawn under the favor of Registrar of IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, and New Delhi. The same can be downloaded from the university website www.ignou.ac.in  by paying Rs 550/- . The duly field application form should be sent to the university before the due date.

IGNOU Distance Learning B.Ed Admission

IGNOU is also known as Indira Gandhi National Open University. IGNOU is located in New Delhi, India. Named after the death of prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi, the university is formed in 1985 by the act of Indian parliament. IGNOU is a 5th biggest university in the world with 3.5 million students in 2010. The main aim of university is to develop the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching and learning process for secondary stage. The Bed program is recognized by NCVT which is important for degree being awarded by a institute or university.

Eligibility for B.ed Admission:

A candidate should have Bachelor or Master Degree with 50 % marks from recognized university. In service teacher temporary or permanent full time teaching with two years experience are also eligible. 5% relaxation for reserved categoryas per government rule. The candidate those who appeared for Bachelor or master degree can also apply.

Selection procedure for B.Ed admission:

IGNOU conduct entrance examination for the admission of Bed program. Admission will be conducted on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in entrance test.The candidate will be requires to submit application form without documents, after entrance examination university sends offer letter for admission to Bed then the selected candidate should submit all document in university.

General Information:

The duration of Bed program is 2 Year minimum and 4 years maximum. The university provides scholarship for reserved categories like ST, SC and physically handicapped candidates. Physically handicapped candidate are eligible for government of India scholarship. These candidates advised to collect their scholarship forms from the respective state government Directorate of Social Welfare. Similarly ST, SC candidate have submit their scholarship forms to the respective state.
