Eligibility for BEd Admission:

• Candidate need to be graduated with at least 50% marks from recognized university.

• Candidate need to pass out by taking up any of the subject like Tamil, Mathematics, Physics, Maths, Chemistry.

• Candidate need to have teaching experience for at least 2 yrs.

Application procedure for BEd course:

The application form for the BEd course can be obtained from university counter or through post. Application form obtaining from university need to pay Rs 500/- and by post Rs 550/- through DD drawn under the favor of The Registrar, MKU, Madurai. The same can be obtained by downloading it from university website www.mkuniversity.org . The duly filled form should be sent before the due date.

Madurai Kamaraj University Distance Education B.Ed Admission

In 1966 Madurai Kamaraj University was formed by the government of Tamilnadu, India. The university has seventy two departments. They have 109 affiliated colleges and 7 night colleges. Madurai Kamaraj University originally known as Madurai University. The directorate of distance education of the university was established in 1971 and has about 1.30 lakhs of students. The university has 29 spot admission center and 16 information center and 73 study center across India. It is recognized by University Grant commission. It has been reaccredited by NAAC with grade A. The Bed program is recognized by National Council of teacher education. The university offers two years Bed programme in English medium.

Eligibility for B.Ed Admission:

In service teacher temporary or permanent full time teaching with two year’s experience should be in primary, higher secondary, matriculation, secondary, Nursery, CBSE schools in Tamilnadu recognized by the state government. The candidate should have any degree from any recognized university. Under graduate degree in any one of the following subject Mathematics, Electronics, Maths, Tamil, Bio chemistry, chemistry, zoology, applied maths, botany, and Information technology, Environmental science, Bio technology, Bio physics, micro biology, political science, public administration, geography, applied geography, history, home science, computer application.

Selection procedure: 

MKU conduct Entrance examination as per Tamilnadu state government communal Reservation norms for Bed admission. Admission will be conducted on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in entrance test. The Bed examination is conducted in following colleges: Madurai don bosco ITC, Madurai.
