In the year 1972, the Directorate of Distance Education was begun working as Institute of Correspondence Courses for catering requirements for the students who may not follow the formal college education. These courses offer incentives for students who stop education due to lack of motivation or aptitude or for wish for economic wherewithal. Persons who took education like life span activity and improve their knowledge in the existing study discipline or obtain proficiency in the new area can also benefit through these courses. Distance Education is the effort to diversify as well as proliferate, the academic beneficence to ‘beyond the classroom’. It makes it available for those who desire and Endeavour. 

The B.Ed course has time duration of 2 years. The B.Ed. of this University provides following subject combinations:

• Biological Science + Telugu

• Mathematics + English

• Mathematics + Physical Science

• Mathematics + Telugu

• Physical Science + Telugu

• Social Studies + English

• Social Studies + Telugu

Eligibility

The applicant needs to have candidates; having any Degree with at least 2 years teaching experience may apply for the B.Ed course. Experience may be of school level or college level from any recognized or private institution. Currently working teachers will preferred over college lecturers.
