Sikkim Manipal University (SMU)Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995 in Sikkim. This University is a joint venture of Government of India and Sikkim Education Trust. The campus of University is located at Gangtok with surrounded by Kanchendzonga Mountains and Teesta River. SMU has the recognition of University Grant Commission (UGC) and is approved by Government of India. The motto of University is EXCELLENCE THROUGH INNOVATION. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), College of Physiotherapy and College of Nursing are the constituent institutes of SMU.
