Bharathidasan University was given after Tamil poet Bharathidasan. The university was begun in the February 1982. In year 2006-07, this university had huge success and approximately had top rank for Tiruchirappalli region. Bharathidasan University is also the member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities). Bharathidasan University has the striking record for holding the five stars ratings to over 10 years. Campus area is broadening across the 1000 acres of land and has numerous small campuses within the city namely Department of Computer Science, Khajamalai housing Department of Economics, BUTP (Bharathidasan University Technology Park), and Department of Education technology. Department of Bharathidasan and Institute of Management is amongst the best Business Schools in the Country.

Eligibility

• One other way to take admission for that course is that you possess the 2 years Diploma in the teaching Education or the 2 years Foundation Course or 2 years of Bachelor Preparatory Program organized by the State Government or through any of the recognized Universities.

• If candidate has Post Graduation holder, s/he will be believed for the Economics, Indian Culture, Philosophy, Commerce, Political Science, Psychology and Home Science. S/he must score minimum 50% in the entrance test to provide admission in that course.

• The students who had attained the marks in the subsequent subjects are appropriate for joining the B. Ed course.

SC/ST both visually as well as physically challenged: 40%

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates is done through an entrance examination and every candidate who desires to join the B. Ed course, has to pass the entrance examination with in excess of 50% marks.
