MANUU (Maulana Azad National Urdu University) is the central university, which has been credited with the 'A' grade by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It has its headquarter in Hyderabad. The University has been funded by the UGC (University Grants Commission), and works under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource & Development for Government of India. Maulana Azad National Urdu University puts great importance on women development and education.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, at Hyderabad provides courses during campus as well as distance modes. MANUU is recognized for the distance education provided at different levels of diploma, certificate, graduate, and postgraduate courses. As part of the campus education, the Maulana Azad National Urdu University has recognized several departments, who offer multitude of programs of study. 

The University houses the building constructed for the Campus because Boys Hostel and one individual house is under construction for the girl’s hostel. Hostel facilities are given on the requirement based priority for students, with subject to accessibility. 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University provides scholarships to students according to the economic status and merit of students. The University Library has wealthy Urdu collection of reference works, monographs, etc

Eligibility : 

The applicant needs to be a graduate from a recognized University with minimum 45% marks in total. Admission is via entrance test. Relaxation of up to 5% is given to SC/ST candidates. The candidate needs to have studied in Urdu at school/ 10+2 or at graduation. Admission will be given after the entrance test.
