The Bangalore University was established in 1886 and situated at Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is one of the oldest universities in India and it’s a public university. The university is a part of the association of Indian universities and they have affiliation from university grant commission. Every time is engaged in research through MoU with foreign and local universities. The university totals have 3 lakh students every year and it was open as central college Bangalore by the British government and renamed as Bangalore University in July 1964. In 2001 the university gets five star rating by NAAC.
Eligibility for Bed admission:
Candidate should complete BA, BSc, or any other correspondence graduate degree from any recognized university with minimum 55 % marks. Candidate should be Indian citizen. Student must get 55 % in English as optional subject to become eligible for the course, for reserved category minimum 50 % marks to become eligible for the Bed admission. The duration of this course is two years and that candidate has minimum three years teaching experience.
Candidate get application form and prospectus from University office after paying nominal fees, fill the application form and submit before due date. The university commonly conducts entrance examination for the admission to this course, student need minimum 40 % marks to eligible for the admission to the Bed admission. The university gives admission to the candidate on merit basis that’s made from the entrance examination.
The university has Bio Park and in India they first time constructed an NSS Bhavan to promote such activities. The university has to campuses to city campus and JB campus and each campus has library and library has 3.25 lakhs books 68 magazine, and 172 journals.
