Mahatma Gandhi University Distance Learning BEd Admission

School of Pedagogical Sciences, at Mahatma Gandhi University, at KOTTAYAM organizes B.Ed. course for 12 Universities under UCTE (Colleges of Teacher Education) in prescribed form every year. 

Eligibility

Candidates need to pass BA or B.Sc degree examinations under 10+2+3 sample with one major subject as well as two subsidiary subjects through M G University any university renowned by the M G University as correspondent thereto for the admission, subject to requirement regarding the marks. Minimum requirement for B.Ed admission is 45% in Bachelor's degree in Science or Arts subjects in total for all the parts 1, 2, and 3. 

Candidates, desiring admission on basis of language under the Part I-II require 50% marks for part disturbed and 50% for the Post Graduate course for the same language. Candidates applying for course under language stream, having bachelor's degree in subject apprehensive will be positioned first in the particular stream. Candidates applying for course under whichever language stream associated with Part 1 or Part 2 under graduate level as well as having PG Degree for same subject in Part 1 or Part 2 will be graded only after that.

Graduates, having subject for which the optional are not provided B.Ed course, are appropriate for admission for the secondary subjects taken at the degree course in case that subject is provided as optional for the B.Ed course, subject for rules to admission. However, such candidates may be measured only after candidates’ ranking with concerned major subject.

Registration fee for B. Ed course is Rs.300/- (Rs. 150/- for the SC/ST candidates)
