Punjabi University Distance Learning BEd Admission

Punjabi University at Patiala is amongst the premier institutions for higher education in Northern India, was recognized on 30 April 1962 underneath Punjab Act No. 35 in the year 1961. It is the 2nd University in world, named after the language, 1st being Israel’s Hebrew University.

Department of Distance Education was recognized in the year 1968, has become a pioneer institute through the distant mode, and it has been 2nd institute of India to adopt non-formal style of imparting education. For first time in India, this Department has provided the regional language like medium of examination and instruction. Currently, this Department is running 4l programs. Student’s enrolment in Department is higher than 10-12 thousand each year.

Punjabi University gets pride in accomplishment of Five Star rank awarded by NAAC, which is the autonomous body of UGC. This University has contemporary well-planned campus positioned on the Patiala-Chandigarh road. Rambling crosswise the 316 acres, this campus is outside the din and sound of city roads and markets. Admission Procedure

The prospectus needs to be obtained from Enquiry & information Centre, at Main Gate, at Punjabi University, Patiala, by paying cash of Rs. 1100/- of General Category. For SC/Stand Handicapped, the cash is Rs. 1000/-. It can also be obtained through registered post from Department of Distance Education, through sending a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.1160/-, in case of General Category or Rs. 1060/-, in case of SC/ST and Handicapped, favoring Head, at Department of Distance Education, at Punjabi University, Patiala with one self-addressed envelope having 12"x10" size, written “B.Ed. Entrance Test Form" on it.
